You're a Class Act

Well, I can't believe August is already here!  We've had a busy (and hot) summer, especially this week.  Being the newly elected Choir Booster Club President for Lindsie's high school, there are already so many things taking place.  This week was the show choir's boot camp week where they learn their new choreography for their show.  The booster moms and I coordinated and provided/picked up food for their lunches every day for these kiddos and directors, about 65 of them!  It was hard work, but so fun and worth helping out.  If you have a kid in choir, you already KNOW they are the best kids and so appreciative of everything you do for them!

Anyway, I had a little time in between doing all that to create this fun "back-to-school" card, since that's literally all I've had on my mind this week (I'm working on a "back-to-school" scrapbook layout for The Little Blue House, too!).

I started with making all my pieces:  ABC COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts for the base, then the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cut scallop rectangle, topped with the cute apple, notebook paper and sentiment stamped from the CLASS ACT set and all cut with the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts.  I thought the card needed a little something else, so I pulled out my HELLO AND THANKS Confetti Cut, and my WORM WISHES stamp set.  After stamping the worm, I colored him a little more with some green Prismacolor pencils for a little more depth.

I wish I could give this card to every single one of the moms that helped me this week with the planning, shopping, picking up, decision-making, unloading and loading my car a thousand times, serving, cleaning up and general support all this week.  Class acts.  All of them
