Just Brew It

Well, hello from North Texas!  I know some of y'all have been asking if my family has been affected by Hurricane Harvey, but we are about 400 miles north of Houston, so we are safe and dry.  My heart continues to break for everyone in the Houston area (which, by the way, can fit the entire state of Delaware in it and then some, since Houston has a bunch of little cities surrounding it).  As a former Houstonian, I know of several of the locations that were hit the hardest and understand the reservoir and bayou systems built to withstand some flooding, but not like this.  My childhood homes were definitely inundated especially now that they are releasing waters from some of the reservoirs.  I just cannot imagine.  Gas is becoming scarce here, mostly because of smaller shipments and people scrambling to get ahold of their share.  I get it, but it's causing more of a panic than necessary.  I did go fill up before the lines at the pumps started, simply because we will be on the road to Arkansas for some soccer games that Lindsie has over the holiday weekend, leaving first thing in the morning!  I'm super excited for this road trip as it will be just me, Lindsie and my newly engaged daughter, Shelbie!  First girls trip ever!!!

So yesterday, I snuck in a little crafty time to make this coffee card.  We will definitely be drinking a lot of this while we're gone!  I've never gone on an interstate trip with the girls, so this "Just brew it" sentiment gets me pumped to go and helps to ease my nervousness of it just being us girls out on the open road!

I started with some AVOCADO, DARK ROAST, SAND and PREMIER POLAR WHITE cardstock to start  the cardmaking process along with a little strip from the UNDER THE UMBRELLA 6x6 pad.  I got to use my new Tim Holtz Stamp Tool for my JUST BREW IT coffee cup which helped so much to get a good solid image by inking my stamp twice.   I cut a tag from the TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts and made a little background with the FOR THE LOVE OF LATTE and CIRCLE WISHES sets.  The CHEVRON PRETTY PANEL Confetti Cuts is tucked in the back and that little perfect heart embellishment is cut from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts.  Well, I better run--lots to do before our trip!  Wish us luck!!!
