August Sketch for You to Try and a SALE from Reverse Confetti

Well, today it's my turn to share my latest card for the AUGUST SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY from REVERSE CONFETTI.

And GOOD NEWS!!!!!!
It's Jen's annual birthday sale!!!!

Back to my project...It's a great sketch and my card came together pretty quick, especially since I stuck to an easy color combo (so yes, sketch+easy color combo=stress-free cardmaking!).
I already had the BANNER IN BLOOM flowers colored with Prismacolor Pencils and cut from the BANNER IN BLOOM Confetti Cuts sitting on my desk as a reject from a previous project.  They were just off white, so since I needed them to be pink, I just gave them a quick makeover and colored right over the off white.

I took the sketch pretty literally, other than making my circle panel just an open frame using the CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts.  I used some FLAMINGO cardstock for the horizontal strip and added the sentiment from the new SENTIMENT ESSENTIALS and then cut it out with the SENTIMENT ESSENTIAL Confetti Cuts (my newest favorite stamp and die set!).  Once I added the large black dots, I felt like the flower area needed a bit more "weight" to it and that's when I pulled the flowers back off and created the black flag banner to balance out my card.  I'm hoping I won't need to give this card to anyone, but it's always good to have a couple on hand!

Here's a look at what I used today. Y'all be sure and head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog to see what the other gals have created for today, and all the details on how to play along for a chance to win a Reverse Confetti Gift Certificate! It would sure be sweet if you played along!  LOL!
