Plum Perfect Mini Bags

Well, hi everyone!  Hot enough for ya?  It sure is here (North Texas)--our heat index this week has been topping out at around 105-107 degrees.  That's just too hot to do anything!  No Six Flags, no pool.  We just stay in and come up with other things to do.  Yesterday's theme was cooking and baking.  We made spaghetti squash pizza casserole for dinner and a zuchini banana dark chocolate chip bread that was AMAZING!  Lindsie and I took turns being each other's sous chef.  I'm so glad she's like me and enjoys cooking.

So while all that was baking, I threw a couple of sweet little treat bags together using some fun stuff from REVERSE CONFETTI.  The quick little bag was just made from a couple of pieces of cardstock and patterned paper and some score lines.  I'll have a bit more info and the measurements below.

After I figured out the concept of the bags themselves, with a little help from Pinterest, I wanted to decorate them with the cute jam jars from the IN A JAM stamp set and cut from the IN A JAM Confetti Cuts.  I used some of our new ink colors for the "labels"--Wine and WisteriaSidenote about the Wine ink color--If you are a Texas Aggie fan, this is the PERFECT color!

More about the bag itself:  It's not a die, but just a pattern I found for a simple rectangle that is 4.5 x 6.5 and scored the long side at 2.75 and 3.75;  the short side at 1 and 3.5.  That's how I did the white one, but I wanted to make one with our FRIGHT NIGHT 6x6 paper pad.  So that's where the green one is cut from.  I obviously had to adjust the rectangle size to 4.5 x 6 and scored at 2.5 and 3.5 on the long side and again at 1 and 3.5 inches on the short side.  You then have to snip the short score lines in the middle of the long side so that the bag will fold.  I held them together with Scor-tape.  The green one is just a tad shorter  than the white one since I started with a smaller rectangle, but it's still pretty cute!  I added the HANG UPS, TOO Confetti Cuts with a brad through them as a cute way to "close" the bag and then tied some RC twine around each one.  To open them all you have to do is undo the brad--there's no glue on the hang ups.  These would make cute little back to school treats to give out to teachers, or even as a hanging embellishment on a gift bag!

Quick measurements:
White bag--4.5 x 6.5 rectangle, scored at 2.75 and 3.75 on long side & 1 and  3.5 inches on short side.
Green bag--4.5 x 6 rectangle, scored at 2.5 and 3.5 on long side & 1 and 3.5 inches on short side.
