Crazy for Christmas--Lil' Gifties

Well, today is the second installment of our CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS feature from REVERSE CONFETTI.  Today, we are all about those little gifties that are perfect for a quick neighbor, teacher, mailman, boss, hairdresser, etc. that are easy to duplicate and make multiples of.

I thought I'd make a cute Mason jar filled with Hershey kisses, and somehow come up with a Santa face from different REVERSE CONFETTI Confetti Cuts dies.  Here's what I did...

The jar wraps were easy enough with a couple of 2x12" strips to go around each jar, followed by some ribbon layered on top.  I started digging through my dies (literally digging...y'all don't want to KNOW my storage system sitch!), and came upon a few that worked great!

Here's a pic of what I pulled, and you can follow along below to see what sets they came from and what went where!

Once I cut all my pieces, it was time to put them together and hopefully make some Santa magic!  The VINTAGE ORNAMENT became a perfect beard once I embossed it with a swirly Cuttlebug folder.  The circle from the FLOWERS FOR MOM Confetti cuts was just the right size for a face and his rosy cheeks are put on with a Q-tip and my blush from my make-up bag!  I hand cut the oval-ish nose and added a little blush to it as well.

His eyes and mouth are just simply from a regular hole punch.  The mouth got tucked under the snip off of the WHEAT Confetti Cuts (who knew?), which I cut and turned upside down for a mustache, and his eyes have a little white gel pen dot for detail.

Finally, I added his cute Santa hat using the PARTY HAT Confetti Cuts and before I added the puffball for the top, I was sure to give his hat a little fold-down to make it look very Kris Kringle-y!!

Diamond Stickles were added to the puffball cutout, the fur, and his beard for sparkle and the tag was stamped in BRICK ink with the TINSEL 'N TRIM stamp set and tied on with lots of fun green and white twine from my stash...any cute Christmas sentiment would be cute here.

Ok, literally these both took me about an hour and a half total, which includes the digging for dies, and picking out paper from my scraps, but with the exception of the trip to Kroger for the kisses!!

Check out the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG for a list of all the girls sharing their creative gifts--
God-given and the actual gifts they made!  LOL!!

pssst...Little Blue House 'Fetti Fans girls, we just *may* have to make one of these in my December Tags 'n Treats class!

  1. Super clever and fun!
    Yay for Mason Jars!

  2. This is so cute, Susan! Glad you posted which confetti cuts to use...I would never have guessed the ornament and wheat sheaf as part of Santa's face! So clever!

  3. So adorable! You are so clever - that Santa from the various dies is genius. Thanks so much.
