Batty for You

Well, as usual, it's been crazy here at our house.  Lindsie is in the midst of finishing a run of 10 performances of Grease, Audrie just auditioned for and made all region and show choir at her school (all of which mean I've been their unpaid Uber driver for several months now) , my mom has been sick, so I've been taking on a few more responsibilities with her, and it wouldn't be Lilesland if I don't have some kind of issue going at the same time--I broke my little toe playing soccer in the house with Audrie!

So yesterday, after a little bit of a meltdown time, I decided I just needed to get out some stuff and create just to create (and let off a little stress--it worked).

I decided to make one last quick Halloween card using my favorite spooky goodies from REVERSE CONFETTI.  I started with creating the circle panel with CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS and also the POP UP CIRCLE Confetti Cuts, cutting the middle one and the dotted strip from the FRIGHT NIGHT paper pad.  I added a ghost and a couple of bats from the HALLOWEEN BITS Confetti Cuts and then the sentiment is from the older (but still awesome!) SPOOKY SENTIMENTS.  As I was putting all this onto the black background, I thought it was looking a little plain until I ran across this GEOMETRIC Confetti Cuts panel, so I cut it from white cardstock.  I think it's kind of spider webby looking.  If y'all haven't pulled it out yet to highlight some of your Halloween crafting, you should!  It was just what I needed for this card!

  1. I LOVE this design, super duper FUN!!!

  2. This is adorable and showcases your talent for combining colors and layers in such incredible ways. Glad crafting helped with your stress. You need a scrapbook page about your broken day you will laugh.....just not now. Prayers for a speedy recovery!

  3. my kids are theatre/choir kids too! congrats to yours! hope you heal fast, love this adorable card!
