September Diva Inspirations Hop

Well, it's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop!  You should have made it here from STACEY'S BLOG, but if you've just joined us, there's a link list at the bottom of this post so you don't miss a thing!

There are TWO $30 gift vouchers to the Verve store up for grabs this month and two ways to win! First, comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) for an entry in the first giveaway. Then to be entered into our challenge prize drawing, go get inky and link up your take on the challenge. You have until October 5 to link up. Feel free to play along with the challenge as many times as you like. Verve stamps aren't required to play, but we do smile a little brighter when we see them!

The changing colors of autumn is always such a treat. Like a paintbrush came and colored the world. One of my favorite trees around the neighborhood turns a brilliant purple in the fall, and is so beautiful against the blue sky. So while some may find this a wintry inspiration, to me a bit of regal purple and a touch of sky and earth will always be fall. Follow the color pattern, or take your inspiration from the graphic, either way it's sure to be lovely! We can't wait to see what you create!

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure y'all will notice that this card is a little out of the norm for me.  It's a very clean and simple card, with no layers and only subtle embellishments.  I actually love it, though!  A sprained wrist from a fall I took a couple of weeks ago, coupled with being rear-ended in a car accident on Tuesday, has left me a little gimpy, so pardon my "not my usual style" card, but I must.keep.crafting!.  Hoping y'all will find inspiration in it anyway.

The inspiration photo and color scheme immediately made me think of wanting to make a fall card with this color palette that's not normally used for fall.  I thought I could represent the three pillows on the bed with the three pumpkins from the BOUNTIFUL HARVEST stamp set and color them in the suggested colors.  I used my Copics for that, added a little sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen and cut them out.  I made the "quiet" background to mimic the wallpaper in the photo using the cool texture-y stamp from the BETTER TOGETHER set.  I love that particular stamp!  All that was left to do was to stamp the sentiment and then I added some of the super sparkly sequins from the SHINE BRIGHT MIX from Verve.  Ahhhh, I'm so ready for FALL!!!
