The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #305--Summer Lovin'

Well, I found a new (to me) challenge to play along with.  It's called The Paper Players It's a weekly challenge where winners get recognized by their design team members.  What's so cool about it, is that it's a rotating challenge in that every week, it's a different type such as sketch, color, CAS, theme, etc.  Here's a little more information about it.

This week's challenge (PP305) happens to be a sketch.  You know I love a good sketch.  They are such great inspiration to get your ideas flowing!

I actually had more of a coffee theme in mind when I sat down to create this.  So I did as I normally do, and started pulling out supplies.  I also started up a little Netflix on my Kindle and put on "Grease Live" (I'd never watched it).  "Summer Lovin'" started playing and my whole card concept had to change!  It became a fun summery card using the PINEAPPLES APLENTY stamp set and PINEAPPLES APLENTY Confetti Cuts and a few other things from REVERSE CONFETTI.  I used the CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS to create a focal point for the pineapples and added the DOUBLE PANEL CIRCLES Confetti Cuts layer to break up the bold green stripes from my patterned paper.  The little heart is from the STAMPED NOTE Confetti Cuts.  So is that song stuck in your head now?  Your welcome.

So who's going to play with me in the challenge?

  1. Love your Summer Lovin' card, Susan. The green, pink and yellow colors scream summer and of course, the Reverse Confetti images and dies. Thanks for joining the Paper Players this week. We hope you play again.

  2. I am so glad you found the Paper Players, especially on my week, LOL! Your "summer lovin'" card is a perfectly tropical delight! Just matches the steamy weather out my window! Thanks for playing with the Players and making my sketch look great! Please come back often and tell your friends!♥
