Sweet Summer Banner

Well, we had an amazing Fourth of July weekend with 3 fireworks shows, a great party at our close friend's house and lots of fun just hanging out as a family and with my in-laws.  Eric was off all weekend, plus Monday and Tuesday, so we totally enjoyed having him around for his mini vacation!  We didn't get much of anything productive done because we were all having too much fun!

I did work on a few upcoming projects, but nothing I can reveal just yet, so I have something today to share that I made a little bit ago that we made in my June 'Fetti Fans workshop at The Little Blue House.  (Boy, that was a long sentence that needs work, but I'm too tired, y'all--please don't call the grammar police on me!)  It's a fun summer banner that uses the INSTA FRAME Confetti Cuts for the main pieces instead of tags.

They have lots of embellishments on them from the PINEAPPLES APLENTY stamp set and PINEAPPLES APLENTY Confetti Cuts, along with a popsicle from the LET'S CHILL Confetti Cuts set.  I used the cutout word, "sweet" from the LOVEY WORDS Confetti Cuts and paired it with "summer" stamped with the ALPHABETICAL stamp set.

After putting it all together, I wanted to give it just a little more pizzazz, so I created the tassels at the ends of the banner from tissue paper and the TASSEL Confetti Cuts.  It makes a fairly long tassel, but I wanted it a little smaller, so I just gave them "haircuts" and shortened them for a fun look.  That was definitely a "lightbulb" moment when I figured that out!

Ok, well, I've got lots coming up in the next few days, crafty-wise.  I'll be sharing some more REVERSE CONFETTI projects, plus a few things I made for The Little Blue House.  You won't want to miss it!

Here's a few more things I used on my project!
