Happy Birthday (to me!)

Well, right now, I'm in Bloomington, Minnesota attending my daughter Lindsie's Voices of Central Show Choir Competition.  I've never been to Bloomington or Minnesota or the frozen tundra, but what better day to be here with friends, other moms and to see all the show choirs compete than on MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

So before I left, I had a chance to play for a bit with some of my supplies from VERVE.  Two reasons for this card--I just wanted to make a good old fashioned birthday card and also because Audrie wanted me to make one so she could write in it and then give it to me when I get back.  AWWWW!!!  I had never used my PEACEFUL MEDALLIONS stamp set, so I decided to create a background circle for my birthday sentiment that is from the FRAMED FLORALS set which I cut using the MINI CLASSY LABELS die set.  I embellished my card with some silver for a change of pace from all the gold out there.  I cut the butterfly with the BUTTERFLY DREAMS die set from some glittery corrugated paper and then I added the PENNANT TRIM up at the top and just bent it a little bit to curve across the corner.

I'm sure getting  home to see what Audrie wrote in my card for me will be just about as sweet as having a great show choir weekend with Lindsie!  Happy Birthday to me!
