Well, it's the 8th of the month and that means it's time for a brand new shiny blog hop from REVERSE CONFETTI! This time, not only do we each have a new project to share, but also the Confetti Crew has gotten nostalgic and we've picked three of our favorite projects from 2015 and highlighted them in our posts with links to go back and see all the details about them.
For my newest project, I had picked up these chunky 4x4 canvases at Michael's and couldn't wait to incorporate one of them into a Christmas project using my REVERSE CONFETTI supplies. I actually played along in the latest sketch from Retro Sketches (#193) which gave me a great start in creating my project (especially since the sketch was for a square card!).
I painted the outside edges with some Art Anthologies dimensional Sorbet paint to give it lots of sparkle, and then just started cutting the papers to fit, following the sketch just like I would have for a card and glued them on with liquid glue.
The trees were cut from the BRANCH OUT Confetti Cuts, and I colored and cut my little Santa from the JOLLY HOLIDAYS stamp set and Confetti Cuts. The "merry" is a cut from the WINTER WORDS Confetti Cuts (an extra I had laying on my desk--love it when that happens!). Once the front was finished, I just hot glued the bow and little extras on top. Now to just decide where to put it or to give it to a friend for Christmas!
