Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well, it's officially the "Holiday Season", my favorite time of year, and I'm truly looking forward to it this year!  We've been blessed with our family, health, and our fabulous home to enjoy the holidays with, and that is just what I plan to do.  I've been working really hard these past few weeks to get to a point of being able to "take in" the holidays this year, as last year was just a whirlwind and it seemed like I was just going through the motions.  Have y'all ever felt that way?  I'm determined to have more peace this year and I finally see light at the end of the tunnel!

Anyway, all that was what was on my mind as I was making this sweet little Christmas card using some of my most wonderful stamps and dies from VERVE.  I didn't follow a sketch or anything this time, but just enjoyed the process of freely stamping and creating.  I don't think I had ever used the little tree and present stamps from the HOLIDAY GREETINGS set, so that seemed like a good starting point.  Then I had this perfect piece of white scrap on my table for the sentiment from the CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR set (to me, worth having JUST for that sentiment!).  All that was left was to decide on papers, and I just started adding elements.  It needed one more touch, so the PENNANT TRIM was added from that die to really make the tree and words stand out.

Ok, off to continue decorating our trees in an easygoing fashion!  We started 2 days ago, and I'm definitely ready to get all the Rubbermaid tubs full of decorations out and and gone from my living room....peacefully.
