October Verve Diva Inspirations Hop

Well, it's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have the until November 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.

Our October challenge is Black, White and Glam
October always has a bit of glamour and intrigue to it. A stroll through the craft store this time of year brings visions of glitzy pumpkins, gilded candelabras and rhinestones galore. So this month we’re challenging you to to get glamorous with black, white and metallics. Use the inspiration graphic or go off on your own tangent, just share a little bit of glam with us!

So let's get to it---The hop started over on Julee's blog HERE and you should have hopped all the way through to SARAH's Blog and then here.  I'm glad you made it!

Ok, ok, so I know my card isn't spooky and "trick or treatish", but when I saw these colors, I immediately thought of something modern glam-chic with these cool snowflakes from the GLAD TIDINGS set (my all time favorite snowflake set that I own!), and cut them with the SNOWFLAKE TIDINGS dies.  The chevron paper was already out on my desk from a school project Lindsie had worked on last night and it just seemed to work as I added the SWEET SCALLOP TAG stamped with the sentiment from the JOYOUS NOEL set.  I needed a little something to break up the black strip, so I embellished with a couple of little flaggies from the BANNER BUNDLE die set.  I added rhinestones to the main features of the card and then sassed it up with some more bling--some SHINE BRIGHT SEQUINS.  They are my absolute favorite sequins because they add so much sparkle!

OK, it's time to keep going on the hop, so head on over to see what MAUREEN did for your inspirational enjoyment!  I'm sure she's got something beautiful to share as always!

  30. Glam-chic is more my style than spooky Halloween, so your card speaks to me, Susan. What ink did you use for your snowflakes? I love the look of white on craft cardstock, but my white inks all seem to fade into the paper.
