Too Much Monday, Not Enough Coffee

Well, I have a quick little card to share today (and I mean little, it's only 4.25" square).  Mondays have quickly become the most hectic since school started around here, so this sentiment won the card front contest today!  I think this past Monday after Audrie got out of school at 2:45, I made 5 or 6 trips in and out of the house picking up, taking, picking up, taking and picking up kids and taking them somewhere else.  Oh and I tried to cook a meal from scratch in there somewhere.  That was a fail.  From now on, Mondays are "skip the major cooking" days and let's have cereal for dinner.  Just kidding, maybe hot dogs if they're lucky.

Anyway, I didn't start with a sketch or anything for my card today, but just started by pulling out a new fall 6x6 paper pad and a few of my REVERSE CONFETTI supplies.  I made the cute THANKS TAG by layering another cut of just the top portion in aqua cardstock over the full cut of the white tag.  A neat little trick that I love!

The coffee cup is paper pieced using the new stamp set, CAFFEINATED CUPS and then cut with the matching die for the cup from the CAFFEINATED CUPS Confetti Cuts. In case y'all weren't aware, the cup from this die set also coordinates with the stamp from the older BE A BARISTA set.  Check it out!  I stamped the sentiment onto a CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS cut from the FOR THE LOVE OF LATTE stamp set.  I layered it all up on my card, added the sweet DOUBLE SCALLOP GARLAND and tag and it was finished!  I'm telling y'all, this is the best coffee stamp set and die set out there.  It's definitely a must have!

Now to go get my afternoon coffee fix!
I have so much work to do, but at least it's all crafty work!  Maybe I'll turn this card into a cute little plaque for my studio...

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I've been using a more inexpensive white cardstock from Michael's when I need some basic white layers, elements, etc.  (Not for my card bases.)  It comes in a pack of 25 12x12 sheets (so I can use it for scrapbooking too) for about $6, and it's a super "white white" shade--I love it.  However, it's not a real heavy weight of paper, which I'm totally fine with for this purpose.  So for my tag, so that it wouldn't be so flimsy, especially after running it through that super cool Tim Holtz coffee embossing folder, I cut another tag from heavier cardstock and layered the white right on top for stability.

Stamps:  For the Love of Latte, Caffeinated Cups (Reverse Confetti)
Paper:  White, Aqua Mist (PTI), White (Michael's), The Story of Fall (Echo Park)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Close to Cocoa (SU!)
Accessories:  Thanks Tag, Caffeinated Cups, Circles 'n Scallops, Double Scallop Garland Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Copic Markers, Coffee Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz), Ribbon (Maya Road), Gold Twine (Pizzazz Aplenty), Gold Sequins, Foam Boosters
Finished Size:  4.25" Square
