Countdown to Confetti: You are a Star and Posted Note

Well, today is the second day of sneak peeks from REVERSE CONFETTI.  We have some inspiring projects to show off today!

Today, the Confetti Crew is sharing what we've made with the new YOU ARE A STAR which has a coordinating YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts die set. Some of us are also debuting the new POSTED NOTE SENTIMENTS and POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts as well.  (I'll be showing my sample on Wednesday's blog hop.)

I am in LOVE with this new YOU ARE A STAR set, and the first thing I KNEW I wanted to do with it and the YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts was make a scrapbook layout with pictures we took from our Pensacola Beach trip a couple of years ago.  Well, one picture made it to the layout at least!

I think the stars resemble starfish, hence the nautical approach.  I found this sketch on Pinterest and followed it pretty closely, but used the stamped and cut stars in a long cluster rather than as a banner below the pic. Some of the stars are simply cut from gold paper and not stamped at all.  The anchor is cut from my Silhouette.  Anyway, I'm sure I'll be grabbing this set for many occasions and putting it to good use!  Here's a closer look at the stamps and Confetti Cuts:

Want to win some REVERSE CONFETTI of your very own?

Leave a comment on each of the designer's blogs for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate.  Comments will close at noon CST on JULY 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on JULY 7th on the Reverse Confetti Blog and our Facebook page.  In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate. After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for the promotional graphic.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  The sticker letters (Thickers by American Crafts) were too brown for my layout, so I covered them with orange stickles and it worked great.  Always try and think of ways to change what you have rather than think you need to make a run to Michaels.  Or wait, what?  You don't have a stash?  Ok, go to Michaels.

Stamps:  You are a Star, Right Here Right Now (Reverse Confetti)
Paper:  White, Orange Zest (PTI), Tan, Turquoise, White (AC), Patterned Papers, Clear Cuts Gold Confetti (Bella Blvd.), Gold (Chickaniddy)
Ink:  Orange, Mermaid, Kraft, Sea Glass (Avery Elle)
Accessories:  You are a Star Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Sewing Machine/Thread, Silhouette, Washi Tape, Orange Stickles, Seam Binding Ribbon (TCP), Linen Thread (Fun Stamper's Journey), Thickers, Foam Boosters
