Well, it's the 8th of the month and REVERSE CONFETTI has got a brand new shiny BLOG HOP for y'all to get lots of inspiration from. This time, the Confetti Crew and a few friends are lifting up the men in our lives and making ABC (anything BUT a card) MASCULINE projects. I know many crafters struggle with masculine projects, so today should give you plenty of creative ideas just in time for Father's Day or any day you want to celebrate "the guys"!
The hop started over on the REVERSE CONFETTI Blog HERE and y'all should have made it my blog via LAURIE'S BLOG HERE. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing!
I've been in "scrapbook" mode with some other projects I had going on for The Little Blue House, so I decided to keep rolling with it and made this single page layout using my stuff from REVERSE CONFETTI. (I'll be adding the baseball pics to it later, so come back and look. I had the darndest time locating them!)
Since we 'Root, root, root for the home team', our TEXAS RANGERS, I pulled out a bunch of red, white and blue papers, along with the WINNING stamp set and coordinating WINNING Confetti Cuts dies to get me started. The banner was easy using the pennant die from the WINNING Confetti Cuts set, and I stamped the letters on it with the LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS Alphabet set. Once everything was laid out, I further embellished my page with the STARS PRETTY PANEL, the "base" trophy piece from the WINNING Confetti Cuts, STAR GARLAND, and the STITCHED FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts.
I then highlighted several things with my clear Wink of Stella brush pen and then stamped the "Way to Go" sentiment repeatedly under the pictures to fill in that space and balance it out.
SUSIE Q-TIP: Right now, all the scrapbook stores are getting in their patriotic and Fourth of July themed papers. It's a good idea to grab some of these as they are so versatile for LOTS of projects. That's what I've used here for my baseball layout. I've even used patriotic papers for Christmas stuff. Must haves and oh, GO RANGERS!
