Countdown to Confetti: Shine Bright and The Buzz

Well, we are on day three (the last day) of our sneak peek foray from REVERSE CONFETTI, and today will be no different in sharing a couple more stamp sets to love and some new Confetti Cuts Dies.

Let's get right to it!  Today we are revealing two new stamp sets that have coordinating Confetti Cuts dies to go with them--SHINE BRIGHT and THE BUZZ,  and in case y'all needed to take another look at those new SPRING FLING QUICK CARD PANELS, I've got y'all covered!

My first card uses the SHINE BRIGHT stamp set for the sentiment.  It's a fun set totally centered around the sun (get it?).  It's got several "sunny" words and phrases that can be mixed and matched to lend a hand at making some great spring and summer cards and projects.  And don't we all need a little sunshine right about now?  The clouds and sun are cut from the coordinating SHINE BRIGHT Confetti Cuts, and the border in gold at the bottom was made using the smaller side of the DOUBLE EDGE WONKY SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die.  Layered underneath everything is that cool ombre SPRING FLING QUICK CARD PANEL.  I love those things!

Ok, my next card just happens to also say "Hello Sunshine" (don't know how that happened!), but it's another SPRING FLING QUICK CARD PANEL making the statement this time.  However, the stamped star of the show is THE BUZZ, another awesome set perfect for spring and summer.  I love that this one came about while Jen and I were brainstorming in our hotel room in San Marcos at CKC last September!

The bees were easily cut (after I stamped and colored them--much faster!) from the coordinating THE BUZZ Confetti Cuts.  I "repeat" stamped the "just be you" sentiment onto the turquoise flag panel to make my own patterned paper to use as the backdrop for the bees.  The last main thing I added was the pink solid cut from the new BANNER GARLAND DUO.  I can't put that thing down!  BZZZZZZZZ!!!  Here's a look at the new stuff I used today:

Just so y'all know...everything will be available on the 8th--that's tomorrow!  We'll wrap up with a blog hop that day as well that y'all won't want to miss.  YAY!  Meanwhile, don't forget that Jen has a link list for all the sneak peek days (March 5-7) over on the REVERSE CONFETTI blog HERE.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  So after using the same one since I started heavily papercrafting almost every day (for like literally 10 years), I finally got a new 12-inch trimmer.  I loved loved loved my old one (a larger blue and orange Fiskars model) to the point of I had finally worn off a lot of the measurements and markings.  There was also this long black cutting bar that wore out  after so many cuts, but could be replaced.  It got harder and harder to find the replacement bar and when I found them, I would buy multiples.  The day finally came when I could not longer find the replacements and I had worn out my last "backup" bar.  I even called Fiskars for their help, but to no avail.  They no longer make them.  It was a sad day in Susanville when I finally replaced that old trimmer for the new one.  Which also didn't have a scoring blade.  I'm a cardmaker.  I need to score!  ;)  I was teaching a class at The Little Blue House recently, and one of my girls there showed me what she used---a stylus with her regular paper trimmer!  I even had one from my tole painting days.  OMG, it was life-changing!  I highly recommend.  And also, love your paper trimmer, someday it won't be available anymore.
