February Sketch for You To Try

Well, February is already upon us and it will be a short month at that!  The weather has been a bit crazy (not as crazy as the blizzard conditions up north); 30's and rainy yesterday and today is supposed to be sunny and warm.  Go figure.  Either way, all of our outdoor sports activities have been cancelled because of the rain from yesterday, we have one indoor soccer championship to take on and then it will be time for the SUPERBOWL (go Seahawks)!  I do hope to squeeze in a little crafty time today as well.

Speaking of crafty time, the first of the month means it's time for a new Sketch For You To Try from REVERSE CONFETTI!

It's a fun and super easy sketch this month, and there are numerous possibilities with it.  Just think of it as a horizontal card as well.  Did y'all know it's totally fine to "flip" the sketch?

I thought I'd make this one another cute Valentine's card because I still need a couple more for our girls.  As I was going through my Reverse Confetti stamps to try and find a good one for this card, I came across the CLASS ACT set with the cute "You're a class act" sentiment and it reminded me of all the kiddy valentines that say, "You're a class act, Valentine".  I knew I could make that work by using the LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS stamps to spell out the Valentine part.  So I stamped the little notebook paper, die cut it using the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts, and created my sentiment, but the pink flag banner was too plain.  I grabbed my WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS background stamp and created my own printed paper with the red hearts and X's.  Both sizes of red die cut hearts are from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts and the Valentines flag banners are from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts.  Combined they are the perfect little embellishments!

Ok, well I hope y'all get a chance to play along with the sketch!  Be sure and check the REVERSE CONFETTI Blog HERE to be inspired by the Confetti Crew and their creations and to get the scoop on how easy it is to get in on the SFYTT action!  Wish us luck in the championship!  Go PINK EXPLOSION AND GO AUDRIE!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Having an alphabet stamp set really comes in handy when you need to "alter" or add to a sentiment to change the phrasing.
