Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Swan Song Blog Hop

Well, sadly as y'all have probably heard, the magazine, Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking has closed its doors and will no longer be in publication.  This magazine has been a crafter's best friend and has built numerous friendships among fellow crafty peeps through its inspiration and friendly approach to its readers.  We've all gotten to "know" several of the crew on its editorial team, not to mention the great group of women who made up the "Go-To Gals" section of the magazine, some of whom I have met and still chatter with on a regular basis, and have worked with on various design teams.

A bunch of "friends" of the magazine have gotten together to create this AMAZING Blog Hop to pay tribute to the magazine, the editors and all the people who worked so hard to keep our issues coming.   The hop started over on JENNIFER MCGUIRE'S BLOG HERE, and you should have made it here from ASHLEY HARRIS' BLOG HERE.

I've only gotten out to one Craft and Hobby Association Show (CHA) back in January 2012.  I had the privilege of meeting Susan Opel there when my bestie, Jen del Muro and I ran into her in the lobby of our hotel (sorry, Susan, but I can't find the pic--I'll send it to you when I do) and were able to have few laughs and chat while she waited for her (Chinese) food?  Or dinner guests?  I can't remember.  I just know it was fun seeing her and introducing ourselves in person after only knowing her through our magazine submissions.  Keep it orange and organized, Susan, we love you! Just be YOU!!!!

I also met Teri Anderson, who is not only uber-talented, but also so inspirational.  I see her in pictures on Facebook doing all these fun runs and stuff and I am totally in awe of her for doing them.  My goal sometime in my life is to be a runner and she truly inspires me to keep that dream alive.  I'm gonna do it someday, Teri!

Anyway, I could go on and on about all my peeps that I'm so sad to see out of a job with uncertain futures.  Everything happens for a reason and I am praying for y'all to have new and grand opportunities that just fall perfectly into place!  I hope this blog hop made your day a little brighter!

Before y'all run off to  I just wanted to share a little about my project.  Nope, it's not a card, but I love the sentiment on these little fabric squares I made quite a bit ago and thought they were totally appropriate because of their message--JUST BE YOU!  I used all REVERSE CONFETTI products from the ALL ABOUT YOU stamp set and the TAG ME Confetti Cuts dies.  They are pretty small, about 3x3" and are all stamped with StazOn Black Ink and hand cut and sewn together with my machine.  Super tedious, but oh-so worth the time they took to make!

Ok, your next stop on the hop is DARNELL KNAUSS!  ENJOY!!

THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AND EVERYONE WHO MADE
PAPER CRAFTS & SCRAPBOOKING MAGAZINE POSSIBLE OVER THE YEARS.
YOU ALL WILL TRULY BE MISSED!
HUGS AND LOVE!
