December Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

Welcome to Verve's December Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our December inspiration challenge for another chance to win!  The hop started over on Julee's blog HERE and you should have hopped all the way through from Sony's blog HERE.  I'm glad you made it!

This month's challenge is entitled O Christmas Tree:

Ribbons and sparkle and merry galore! Create a card inspired by the decorations of the season!
I decided to use the last November VIVA LA VERVE sketch on my little project pieces again.  I used it on my previous Verve post HERE.

I have a few friends coming over next week for a little Christmas get-together and gift/cookie exchange, so I thought I'd make them each a little something-something to take home with them.  These are scaled down "tag-sized" versions of the sketch.  Quite small at about 3 1/8 by 4 5/8" inches.  I will be punching a hole in the upper left of them and tying them onto packets of hot chocolate.  Yumm!

As far as being inspired by the inspiration picture, I'm always drawn to snowflakes in my decorating, and having something cozy and warm to drink while putting up the decorations!  So I chose to use the HOLIDAY TREATS set to stamp the snowflakes and sentiments, but the coffee cups are from the older BETTER WITH YOU stamp set and I colored and cut the cups out by hand.  Luckily I caught a break and was able to use the FROSTY SNOWFLAKES DIE set to cut the snowflakes out with!

Well, y'all have reached the end of the hop for this month!  I'm so glad you joined us and if there's anyone you'd like to go back to, here is the master hop list, but before you go, Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!:

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Don't forget that just because it says it's a "card" sketch, that doesn't mean you can't use it for a tag, or even a scrapbook layout.
