November Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

PSST...I have TWO posts today!  Click HERE for my Sneak Peek for Reverse Confetti.

Welcome to Verve's November Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their VERVE stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our November inspiration challenge for another chance to win!  The hop started over on Amy's blog HERE and you should have hopped all the way through from Sony's blog HERE.  I'm glad you made it!

This month's challenge is entitled Naturally Navy:

Classic, bold, is naturally elegant! Go nautical or pair with neutrals for a creation sure to impress.  Obviously, I missed the boat on this and didn't go with the color suggestion.  However, my little pennant banner is kind of nautical, no?

I did grab my sketch inspiration from the latest Mojo Monday Sketch #370.  It's a great one (with a prize this time) that allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and make a horizontal card...I don't know why I forget to do these more often!

I went with another Christmas card with those eye-catching black accents--mostly because that was what was already on my desk!  I'm working on several projects at one time right now.  Seems like when it rains it pours!  Anyway, I used one of my favorite Christmas sets from Verve, MERRY & BRIGHT for the sentiment snowflake border.  Then another set, HOLIDAY GREETINGS for the stamped snowflake on the black circle and the little green stars on the border--the perfect touches!  My red panel was made using the BANNER BUNDLE dies and the PENNANT TRIM makes an appearance in black as well across the bottom of my card.  It was easy to bend it into shape to make it look like it's hanging!

Next on the hop is Maureen...HERE

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Another Copic marker tip--use a gray tone color to highlight words in your greeting or sentiment.  Sure makes them pop.  Make sure to use the correct ink though, so it doesn't bleed.  Tuxedo Memento Black does just fine for this.

Stamps:  Holiday Greetings, Merry & Bright (Verve)
Paper:  White, Pure Poppy, Black (PTI), DIY (Simple Stories)
Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black, Sage Shadow, White Craft (SU!), White Chalk Ink
Accessories:  Banner Bundle, Pennant Trim (A Cut Above Dies by Verve), Circle and Snowflake Punches, Copic Marker, Adhesive Rhinestones, Black/White Twine (TCP), Foam Boosters
Finished Size:  A2
