Well, I've been feeling a little "two steps forward, one step back"-ish here lately. It seems like ever since we've moved into our new home, everything has been in an uproar. Not just the house (with boxes still to be unpacked and nothing hung on the walls), but soon after we moved, school started, then soccer ramped up to full speed ahead for both girls and we squeezed in going out of town twice in there! So y'all shouldn't be surprised when I say that I made this card several days ago.

Anyway, at the time of creation, the weather was just starting to cool off and it put me in a fallish mood. I was also thinking of how thankful I am for the help from my family during our move. I still have every intention of getting this to my sweet sister and her family for putting us up in her house during the week we were homeless! With her in mind, I grabbed my WONDERFUL MARVELOUS stamp set from VERVE and combined it with the pumpkins and acorns from the TALL OAKS set, one of my all-time favorite Verve sets. They are all colored with Copics and the middle pumpkin is popped up for extra dimension! The tag is cut from the TAGGED RECTANGLE die and then I added a few SHINE BRIGHT SEQUINS from Verve--they are super sparkly!

Stamps: Wonderful Marvelous, Tall Oaks (Verve)
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Dark Kraft (The Paper Studio), Farmhouse (Crate Paper), Orange Stripe (Recollections), White (PTI)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko), Powder Puff Chalk Ink (QQ)
Accessories: Tagged Rectangle (A Cut Above Dies by Verve), Notebook Edge Die, Copic Markers, Jute Twine, Shine Bright Sequins (Verve), Hot Glue, Foam Boosters
Finished Size: A2
Don't be too hard on yourself. Moving to a new house is a major event and your life is really bust most of the time. You'll find the power cord packed away somewhere and eventually you'll get everything unpacked.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fabulous, Susan.
