Quirky Cuties Blog Hop (with a prize) from Reverse Confetti

Well, it's been a little bit since I posted the last time.  We've been crazy busy gearing up to get into our new home.  There have been some big hoops to jump through, and a huge roller coaster ride of emotional ups and downs wondering if closing on this house would ever come to fruition.  Well, yesterday we got the news we've been waiting 10 months for--that we will finally get to close on our home.  We are hoping to hear a definite date for closing today, but our best guess is that it will be late next week, and we are moving in with my sister tomorrow.  Keep y'all's fingers crossed for us!

As for today's post, it's a little something different from the Confetti Crew and a few of our "coloring" friends.  Instead of a Confetti Camera this week, we are having a QUIRKY CUTIES Blog Hop from REVERSE CONFETTI (read below about the prize)!  Everyone on the hop has chosen a stamp set from our fun Quirky Cuties line (all line art images of sweet little animals that are super fun to color), and has made a card or project using them.

The hop started over on the REVERSE CONFETTI Blog HERE, and if you're just joining us, you'll want to head that way to get the most from the hop (I'm the end).

For my card, I got a little sentimental (as I was packing away all my crafty stuff), and went with BEBE BUNNY.  She was the second Quirky Cutie and I remember Jen and I going over and over her during the design process, deciding on tweaks here and there, until she was just right, with the cutest dress, purse and shoes with the sweetest little "head tilt"--yes I'm a little partial to her.

I colored her up with my Copic markers and gave her some glasses (see?  She even looks a little like me!).  I cut several circles from the new CIRCLES 'N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts to serve as a great backdrop for her once I got her all cut out.  I added the pink scallop border using the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP Confetti Cuts and popped that piece up at a fun angle.

Ok, so here's the FUN part--the PRIZE INFO!  We actually are teaming up with STUDIO 3 SOLUTIONS, and have 2 prizes to give away!   TWO random commenters will win:  A Studio 3 Solutions Color Cubbie + 3 Quirky Cuties (winner’s choice).  Comments will close this Sunday at 5 pm CST and the winner will be announced on the Reverse Confetti blog on Monday the 28th.

Well, with me, you've reached the end of the hop, but we are all still here if you want to go back and take a second look at anyone's project.  Jen has the hop lineup posted over on the Reverse Confetti Blog HERE.  Have a great day, and I'll see y'all again after we get settled into our new house.  I'll be unpacking the 875,657,483 boxes in my craft room just as fast as I can!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I wasn't going to make the navy blue panel crooked, but when I started to glue it down, it looked cute that way, so I kept it.  That's called going with the artistic flow.  Don't let it come between you and your project--if it looks better some way you didn't originally intend, don't fight the feeling.  Just do it.

Stamps:  BeBe Bunny Quirky Cuties (Reverse Confetti)
Paper:  White, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz (PTI), Dark Kraft (Paper Studio), Sew Lovely (Carta Bella)
Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories:  Circles 'n Scallops, Double Edge Scallop Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Circle Punch, Copic Markers, Glossy Accents (Ranger), Button, Divine Twine, Adhesive Rhinestones, Foam Boosters

  11. Oh my! One of the first things I noticed was how clever it was to have her head tilted so she could seem to be looking at something on the card - and then I read further down how you thought about her head tilt in the design process - great choice! Too cute!

  40. I can sooooooo relate to your house sale and move situation. I did it 5 months ago. Had to give up my dedicated craft space and paired down to half my supplies. Was I in anxiety mode you ask? It all works out tho and we are so happy we don't have our big house and mortgage anymore. Hang in there! Love your card. As always you give me great inspiration.
