July Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

PSST...I have TWO posts today!  Click HERE for my Sneak Peek for Reverse Confetti.

Well, welcome to Verve's July Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our July inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

Our July challenge is Red, White and You:

Red and white are always classic, pair this gorgeous color combo with a color of YOUR choice! Make a statement or keep it muted, it's all up to you! Feel free to use the graphic as inspiration or not, we just want to see you flash a little red, white and "up to you" color on your creation!

The hop started over on JULEE'S BLOG and hopefully you've hopped along and arrived here from SONY'S blog.  If not, be sure and start at the beginning so y'all don't miss a thing.  Trust me, you WANT to take it all in!

I went with a clean and simple design for my card.  I  know.  I don't do that very often, but I liked the inspiration pic with more white than anything, and wanted to see what I could come up with!  My "added" color of choice was blue--navy and light (was that cheating?  Oh and then there's the green for the stems and leaves...shhhhh!), as I was still in a patriotic mood from the 4th.  I used the PSALM 94:18 Plain Jane to help with my "quiet" approach to the card.  The POPPY BIRTHDAY set was the perfect accent for a cluster of flowers along the side, which I mostly cut out with the BUILD A POPPY die set.  The red banner underneath is actually two pieces from the BANNER BUNDLE that I put together to make it look longer.  This is a good verse for me right now, since God is really testing our patience with this house stuff!  Keeping our fingers crossed that we hear something early this week and close soon.  Our landlord has already found a new renter for this house and he gets to move in on the 28th!  Yikes!

Ok, don't stop here, move onto the amazing and talented Maureen's blog and see what she's created today!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!
