A Viva la Verve Hello, Friend

Well, hello friends!  Who's ready for school to end?  I know we are!  We keep an "old-school" calendar hanging in the kitchen to write down everyone's combined schedule.  I was looking at it today and saw that EVERY SINGLE day had something on it for the month of May with the exception of about one Saturday and three Sundays.  And, there's no end to the craziness in sight until the girls get out of school.  So. ready.

One of the things I'm looking forward to this summer is of course MOVING (again), but having more time to craft (in my new craft room) will surely bring back some saneness to my days.  I need it!  Am I the only one who gets crabby if I don't get to create?

Luckily, I did have some time this week to work on the latest VIVA LA VERVE Sketch (May, Week 4).  As always, I mixed a little old with a little new.  I'm in LOVE with the newish Plain Jane, HELLO FRIEND and the brand new Verve Die Set, SPRIGHTLY SPRIGS.  Y'all are going to love adding this little leafy cut out to all your VERVE floral sets!  This time I used the blooms from DREAM BIG set along with the coordinating SCALLOPED FLOWER dies and set it off kilter from the CURVY BOOKPLATE die.  The little crooked banner is from the BANNER BUNDLE.  (I love this sketch--I mean, who'da thunk to angle it like that!?  Um, Sarah would.  She's cool like that.)

Viva la Verve Sketches
Just so y'all know, as I do, there's still a few more days left in the month of May.  That means there's still time to play in this month's Viva la Verve Challenges!  Head on over to the Viva la Verve BLOG HERE to link up your card and possibly win a $100 Verve Gift Certificate.  Motivated now?  I thought so.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  My tip today has nothing to do with crafting.  It's hamburger meat.  Do y'all have an Albertson's grocery store?  I went there today in need of some hamburger meat for spaghetti.  One pound is never enough for us, but two is too much.  So I regularly buy it from the butcher's case there so that I can get 1 1/2 pounds (just right!  Now I'm Goldilocks).  This also 9 times out of 10 saves money.  Today and most times, it was $2 cheaper per pound from the butcher case.  You'd think it would be the more expensive route, but no.  Check it out, even if you're not at Alberston's.
