TCP Tuesday #265--Fabulous Colors!

Well, I had a hankering to play with some of my favorite new stuff from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS yesterday, so I came up with this card for this round of the TCP TUESDAY CHALLENGE.
TCPTuesday

This time, Nancy is challenging us to use this fabulous color palette--Melon, Navy and Sky Blue (which I interpreted per the graphic as this shade of aqua--even better!).

My card was really a breeze to make with the NUMBERS PLATE die.  It's what I did the background of the card with from the negative and then I ran it through my Big Shot again with Navy cardstock for the number "52".  The circle was cut from the FRAMED UP 2 die which I stamped with the LOCK & HEART background stamp.  Finally, the sentiment is from the YOUR NUMBER IS UP set that coordinates with the Numbers Plate.  I think my melon is a little "off" from the challenge color, but it's as close to that color that I had without making it be pink.  See?  Just use what you have!

We hope you get a chance to play along for your chance to win some Cat Cash and be named Swanky Stamper!  I'm telling y'all...it's super easy to win!  Read all about it HERE!

And here's another update from
LUCKY LOT #9...

I love my staircase!  We won't have any fancy railing, just half-walls, but I'm fine with that.  In fact, I think I'm going to like it better!

Umm, this is our master bedroom closet.  It's a bit ridiculous.  So much so, that I giggle every time I look at it.  I'm going to have to buy some more clothes.

The house "wrap" goes on before the siding.  There was supposed to be another window up there in the middle (our master bedroom), but they figured out that the pitch of the covered patio roof made it impossible to put there.  I have a sad about that, but I am glad we have the fabulous back porch!

This is the view from the back on the other side of our bedroom upstairs and the living room downstairs where they started adding the siding.  It will be painted.  I was glad it wasn't going to be this blah.

Adding the "wrap" on the front and getting a few details around the front window which will be Lindsie's room.

The roof is being finished up here and the front porch is taking shape!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  If you don't already have one, I highly recommend picking up a "Quickie Glue Pen".  The white numbers piece covers the patterned paper behind it.  With the glue pen, it was super easy to hit the tiny places where liquid glue would have oozed out from the edges.  All the cool stampy girls use them.  Just sayin'.

Stamps:  Your Number is Up, Lock & Heart Background (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper:  White, Enchanted Evening, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist (PTI), Sew Lovely (Carta Bella)
Ink:  Tuxedo Memento Black, Sage Shadow (SU!)
Accessories:  Numbers Plate, Framed Up 2 CutUps (The Cat's Pajamas), Buttons, Linen Thread (The Cat's Pajamas), Tiny Attacher (Tim Holtz), Hot Glue, Foam Boosters
Finished Size:  A2
