Curtain Call Challenge

Well, I'm getting this card in for the Curtain Call Challenge by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!  My friend and design team buddy from Reverse Confetti, Stacey Schafer, runs a great challenge blog called Curtain Call.  There's a challenge twice a month, on the 1st and 15th, and the curtain closes on each of them 10 days after their debut--so today's the last day for this one!

This time, the challenge was an inspiration challenge entitled Confetti Crush, so it was only natural that REVERSE CONFETTI be a sponsor for it (read--Reverse Confetti Gift Certificate up for grabs!).

My card is a bit of a stretch for the inspiration, but y'all know how it goes; sometimes your project gets a mind of its own and it becomes something totally different than what your original intention was!  I used the April SFYTT from Reverse Confetti as a good starting point for this card.  The letters are stamped from the CLASS ACT stamp set.  The main sentiment is from LOTS TO SAY.  I used stamps and dies from the PETALS 'N POSIES sets for the layered flower embellishments, and everything sits atop the scalloped LOVE NOTE and CLASS ACT rectangle die.  So I'm going with the fact that at least some of the colors are the same as the inspiration pic and then we are just going to pretend that the letters at the bottom symbolize random confetti sprinkles, ok?

Ok, I've got a little more to share!
Some more progess pictures from
And the framing goes up!!!!  It's starting to look like a house!
I was sad that I wasn't there to take a picture of the very first wall going up, but at least I got this one before they were too far along!  Here, you can make out the garage on the left, the front door and the big double window (to my new craft space) on the right.

This is from the inside looking out to the backyard.  Living room on the right, dining on the left and kitchen to the far far left.

Here's a look at my mom's new room downstairs and her closet.  She's super excited!

Moving on up to the upstairs framing...gosh, it goes fast!  I've still got more to catch y'all up on, so stay tuned!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Don't discount using stickers on your cards.  The fun black chalkboard looking speech bubble is actually a sticker from Studio Calico that I popped up as a layer on top of the Love Note die.
