Well, today as y'all are reading this, I'm probably in the throws of calming down a class of fourth graders. It should be a much better day subbing than the one I had last week in sixth grade. The fun part? I'm right across the hall from my own fourth grader, Audrie (so she's already warned me about the ones to look out for in this class)!
I'm the hostess this week and I've come up with a "notable" challenge--Put a song in your step by creating a card or project where music is the focus.
For my card, I combined a set that has nothing to do with music--WHAT'S MEW, with the TALK TO ME set for the speech bubble, and finished it off with a LUGGAGE TAG, stamped with music and a sentiment from THE TWEETEST THINGS. I kind of pictured Sprinkle here peeking out of the bushes and whistling to get attention!
I think y'all can really have fun playing in this challenge, even if you can't carry a tune! Check out the TCP BLOG where you'll find all the info on how to play along. I'd love to see what y'all come up with!
SUSIE Q-TIP: This is truly a new discovery and I'd never thought about doing this before. See how my button has twine running through it? Well, it's not even tied on the back. All I did was run the trimmings (about 1" each, 2 different pieces) from the twine on the bow through to the back of the button. I left them loose, flattened them against the back of the button and stuck on some glue dots. Then I just cut the ends of the twine that was sticking out, off. Made my button much flatter than tying the twine in a knot behind it.
