Petals 'N Posies Birthday

Well, this spring break is going by way too fast!  We got the girls' haircuts today and plan on going to downtown Fort Worth tomorrow to eat lunch with Eric and take some fun pictures in Sundance Square.  It's been a while since I did a little "photoshoot" with them!  Just wish my almost 22 year old could take off work and go with us!  Hopefully, I'll get some fun shots for my next Front Porch Kit I'll be designing with from The Little Blue House.

I had a few minutes today to sit down and share this fun little single layer card I made for REVERSE CONFETTI using some of the latest release products.

I used the BEAUTIFUL BANNERS stamp set and cut the banner with the coordinating BEAUTIFUL BANNERS CONFETTI CUTS.  The flowers and leaves are cut with the PETALS 'N POSIES CONFETTI CUTS (dies) from several scraps I had in my scrap basket and embellished with buttons and sequins.  I love how they are all bunched together like a flower explosion.  I'd love to get a card like this for my birthday!

Ok, I also just have to share a few pics today from

Digging waist deep!

Here they are digging up the dirt to put in the plumbing lines.

Lindsie, checking out where the kitchen will be.

Audrie playing "king of the mountain" where the garage will be.

Eric contemplating the new "expanded" living space AND house payment.

But how can you deny that cute face her very own room?  :):):)

SUSIE Q-TIP:  One layer cards--love them or hate them?  I personally would rather have lots of layers and embellishments, but the simpler style makes for a fast and striking card...really easy to pull off with single sentiments and die cuts.
