Countdown to Confetti: Petals 'N Posies

Well, today is the second day of sneak peeks for REVERSE CONFETTI!  This spring release features many must-haves, but what would spring release be without a stamp set full of flowers!

PETALS 'N POSIES is the perfect mix of solid and polkadot flower stamps that can be used in an endless number of combinations.  It contains lots of fun sizes and flower "parts" to play with and the different shaped flowers are perfect for layering using the coordinating PETALS 'N POSIES CONFETTI CUTS dies, or simply by using colored ink to stamp and layer with directly onto cardstock.  Several sentiments are included as well in that sweet all-caps font that I LOVE!

My card today is a very clean and simple design and uses one of my favorite color combos.  The main panel includes a layered PETALS 'N POSIES flower that I stamped and then cut using the matching dies, and popped each layer up with foam boosters.   The scalloped "backdrop" for the flower is from the LOVE NOTE die.  It frames the white panel that I used the older SO STRIPEY set for the solid yellow lines.

Ok, we have lots more sneak peeks to share tomorrow, so be sure and stop back by.  Then, everything will be available on the 8th, and we'll wrap up with a blog hop that day as well.  YAY!  Don't forget that Jen has a link list going daily (Mar. 5-7) for all the sneak peeks over on the REVERSE CONFETTI blog HERE.

Want to win some REVERSE CONFETTI of your very own?
There's TWO ways to do that!
Leave a comment on each of the designer's blogs for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate.  Comments will close at noon CST on March 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on March 7th on the Reverse Confetti Blog.  In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion. After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for the promotional graphic.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Yesterday, one of y'all lovely commenters asked a pertinent question that I thought I'd address today.  "How do you get the stripes from the SO STRIPEY set to line up so nicely?" (in so many words).  I really don't have a great answer for that.  The most helpful thing for me, is to make sure your acrylic block is perfectly clean (use a baby wipe for this!) and I often stand over where I'm stamping to see from the top where I'm about to stamp.  In the case of yesterday's card, the banner dies cover my imperfection/seams!  Today, the ribbon covers the not so perfectly spaced yellow stripe.  Shhhhh, I only tell y'all my deepest secrets, so don't go telling everyone that that susiestampalot is really susiestampadoozie!  or susiestampafloozie!  or just plain susiecantstamp!  Thanks.
