January Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

PSST...I have TWO posts today!  Click HERE for my Sneak Peek for Reverse Confetti.

Well, Happy NEW YEAR!  Did y'all think I wasn't ever coming back to the ol' blog here?
Let's get today rolling with the VERVE Diva Inspirations Hop.  It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This year we're spicing up our monthly hops with the addition of a challenge! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize! Woohoo!  Here's the January Challenge:

The year is shiny and new, so let's add shimmer and shine to our cards. Think glitter, sequins, rhinestones, pearls, heat embossing - anything with some gloss.

The hop started over on SARAH'S blog, and hopefully you've hopped along and arrived here from SONY'S blog.  If not, be sure and start at the beginning so y'all don't miss a thing.  Trust me, you WANT to take it all in!

And finally, a few specifics about my card---I hadn't had a chance to ink up the new POPPY BIRTHDAY set, so that's how I got started.  The sentiment banner was stamped onto the SCROLL diecut.  The PENNANT TRIM was perfect for adding some pearls, as was the little embellishment I put together at the top using the FLAG IT die set.  As a last touch, I sprayed the entire card with Shimmerz.  It got kind of splotchy, but I still like it!  The sparkle makes me happy!

Ok, don't stop here, move onto TIFFANY'S blog and see what she's created today.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what our Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines.
