Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop

Well, we are now on Day 3 of ICEMAGEDDON 2013 here in North Texas.  It's actually been fun and relaxing to have REAL pajama days, Eric home and hanging out with us, playing games, and the girls even baked snickerdoodles and brownies (read all the way down to see a pic of my little bakers!).  With the temps in the mid 20's and rock hard ice up to 4" thick everywhere, I was able to do a little stamping!

Anyway, it's the 8th of the month –Blog Hop time from REVERSE CONFETTI! Last month’s release was full of holiday magic as well as some gorgeous everyday sentiments. As we look forward to the holidays, it’s now time to start thinking of those small gifts, tags, treats, or just sweet notes of encouragement to spread the “Merry” to our friends, family and coworkers. The Confetti Crew and a few other pals have designed some great cards and projects to give you just the creative spark you’ll need to make some of your very own RC magic happen!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from SAVANNAH'S blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

For my hop project, I decided to make this card, and then it turned into making a couple of matching gift tags (until I ran out of the green satin ribbon--a crafting emergency!)  I've really been liking how a few girls on the Confetti Crew have been using the SWEET TREAT TENT die to make panels on their cards, so I tried it out for myself!  The sentiment is from my new favorite Christmas set, BRING ON THE MERRY.  Really.  I love it.  And not because it's Reverse Confetti, Jen's my best friend, and I helped with the words, I really do love it.

So I'm hoping that Icemageddon 2013, Day 3, has the girls and I creating (instead of more baking--I'm going to gain 12 1/2 pounds!) and one of the things we need to make is our gift tags.  I thought these would be easy enough for us to duplicate (sans green ribbon) using the TAG ME Confetti Cuts dies and a few other goodies from my stash.  They were super easy and simply layered.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration!  With me, you've reached the end of the hop.  Wasn't it FANTASTIC!?!? If you get lost along the way, you can always find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG.

How would you like to win some Reverse Confetti goodies of your very own? Leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to REVERSE CONFETTI. Comments are open until Tuesday, December 10th at 2pm CST, and the winner will be announced on the “Wednesday in the Works” post on the 11th over on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…
December’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along. Click HERE for a chance to win. AND, be on the lookout for our second COLOR challenge we will be introducing on December 16th and another way to win!

And here's a cute picture of the girls playing outside in the ice.  They both have recently had birthdays--Audrie is 10 and Lindsie is 13.  I just had to share!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I don't know about y'all, but when I cut dies with my Big Shot, it sometimes leaves little hangy-cutty (my new term for it) edges, like paper hair on whatever shape I've cut.  To help remove some of it quicker, I just take an art gum eraser and before I pop it out of the die, gently rub it over the piece to remove as much as I can.  This way, the die-cut won't get all bent and mangled from handling it too much, and I won't get all bent and mangled trying to scrape it all off with my fingernails.

Stamps:  Bring on the Merry (Reverse Confetti)
Paper:  White, Dark Chocolate (PTI), Spearmint, Red Hot, Gumdrop Green (MFT), Holly Jolly (EP), Chevron (The Paper Studio)
Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko), Red Hot (MFT)
Accessories:  Sweet Treat Tent, Tag Me Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Snowflake CutUps (TCP), Holly Die (PTI), Quatrefoil Embossing Folder (The Paper Studio), Sequins (IHP), Buttons, Cherry Divine Twine (TCP), Hot Glue, Jody Boosters
Finished Size:  A2
