October SFYTT

Well, it's been kind of crazy here in Lilesland this week.  The bad news is that Eric, being a Federal employee, has been furloughed.  The good news is that we are able to work on projects around the house (that don't cost anything) that we haven't had time to do for a very long time.  We've spent the last 2 days trimming and doing our best to cut down 5 trees that are growing in our back fence.  YES, IN THE FENCE.  It's a chainlink and these trees are mangled and intertwined into the fence, as in the fence is getting embedded into the tree trunks and limbs.  I'll post a pic on my Facebook later so y'all can see what I mean.  I need to figure out a way to kill them and I'm hoping I can "count on y'all" to give me ideas on how to do this!  I've been using the pruning shears while he saws the bigger branches by hand (no chainsaw).  I thought I'd better go ahead and write this, just in case my sore hands don't work tomorrow!

We quit a little early on Tuesday, as it got too hot, so I came inside and started rolling around ideas for a new card using the October Sketch For You To Try from REVERSE CONFETTI and I came up with this one.
After making my card, I realized it was almost the same color scheme as my last Reverse Confetti card (HERE) and incorporated another tag.  I must like that combo (and tags)!

Anyway, I used the new COUNT YOUR RAINBOWS set to configure the sentiment and added brown Stickles for the spark-alay spark-alay.  Then the hearts were the perfect trio for the sketch straight from the FOREVER FALL set, topped off with the numbers from the LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS alphabet set (yay--it comes with numbers!) which I stamped and then just punched out with a small circle punch.

SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY (SFYTT)—Play along with us each month for your chance to win the ENTIRE NEXT RELEASE and to be invited to play along with the Confetti Crew as we sneak peek and hop with all the new stamps.  Click HEREfor more details and link list.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I don't own a cute little tag die and I didn't use one here.  I have been just cutting them myself to the size I want after I stamp it.  To make the angles at the top of the tag symmetrical, I just snip one side off like I like it, and then flip the section I just cut off to the other side to sort of make a template and cut it off.  No fuss.  I'd rather have a die though.
