I Only Have Googly Eyes For You
Well, after checking a few things off my list of stuff to do yesterday, I rewarded myself with a little playtime at my craft desk. It was getting kind of late, I was getting a little loopy. Then the googly eyes happened.
REVERSE CONFETTI'S FOREVER FALL stamp set has never looked better.
When I first started making this card, I was inspired by a card Jen made and had showed me using shades of brown and green. I ended up using the pumpkin, so orange was added, so I think I'll need to make another pass at it a bit later! The FOREVER FALL stamp set is the main focus, but I managed to throw in the orange stripes from SPOOKY SENTIMENTS and created a subtle background using white ink and the WHOLE LOTTA DOTS set. Like I said, it was getting late, and I had this idea to put googly eyes on the pumpkin for a little punch. He had to have a mouth. Hmmm. I used the cherry stem stamp from CELEBRATE CAKE and soon enough had a googly-eyed, smirking pumpkin. No apologies. I like him.
That fall weather we've been waiting for? It's here. It's 40 degrees outside and time for me to go watch Lindsie play soccer. Better than in the pouring down rain I sat in last week, right?
SUSIE Q-TIP: When using white craft ink, it's best to go ahead and take that extra step to make sure that stamp and block is really clean before getting it inky. Otherwise, your ink pad will get discolored. I'm not saying its happened to me, and I'm not saying it hasn't. You be the judge.
