Well, I have a hankering for some pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, and pumpkin spice lattes. The weather has a lot to do with that lately. We are waking up to high 60's-low 70's, but by the afternoon, it's still getting up in the 90's. I don't care. That stuff still sounds good and I will be partaking in all of the above very soon! Even Audrie (9) is ready for a pumpkin spice latte--I know, what was I thinking when I introduced her to that coffee-licious treat? An occasional coffee before an early morning soccer game gets her going! What's are ya'll's best pumpkin recipes? (All but pumpkin pie. I don't like pumpkin pie. I have issues.)
So guess what was on my mind when I made this little card for last Friday's (September, week 4) Viva La Verve Challenge? I had been wanting to make a pumpkin shaped card for a while, and then I realized I had a "larger" pumpkin shaped die from Lifestyle Crafts (did ya'll know that We R took them over?--yay!). So I cut the card shape while folded, and just positioned the die to not cut where the fold was. EASY! The die cut leaves and little swirly vine came with the die set--cute!
Then it was up to my VERVE stamps to make it come together. I grabbed the Plain Jane, GALATIANS 6:9 for the main sentiment. Then I stamped the pumpkins and acorn from the TALL OAKS set and adorned it with various leaves from the AUTUMN SPLENDOR set. I'm loving the addition of pale blues and aquas in many of the fall creations I'm seeing online, so I had to add my own touches of that color as well with some fabulous SEAM BINDING RIBBON. (ssshhhh, I just got some more colors, I love that stuff so much!)
Ok, here's a little something ya'll will love to get into the FALL spirit with...
