September Sketch For You to Try

Well, that was a FUN 3-day weekend!  We got some serious chores done, a few minor home repair jobs taken care of, had time to hang out with the neighbors, and enjoyed grilling outside.  I love weekends like that, where everything just happens in stride, not on a true schedule!  No soccer, but it all ramps up next weekend with the season opener for both girls and 3 games to look forward to.  I can't wait.
I was also able to get stampy with a little REVERSE CONFETTI!  I was dying to tackle the new September SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY, so I took out a couple of sets and further challenged myself to combine them for a fun, boyish birthday card.

I used the CELEBRATE CAKE set for the main interest of this card, and then took the large anchor from the HAPPY HARBOR and created a cool pattern of blue on blue.  Then, as I was looking for the button to go on here, I came across this one and it actually says, "Anchor Blue" around it!  That'll work.

The SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY details you need to know…

  • There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.
  • The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 14th. The sketch will be posted in the sidebar on the RC blog and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s SFYTT post with the link list during this time.
  • We originally stated that you must play with Reverse Confetti stamps to win; however, we are allowing “anything goes” until the end of the year. Note, that we will be adding this requirement in January.
  • You may enter as many times as you wish.
  • There will be a winner each month and that person will receive ALL OF THE STAMP SETS for the next release and be invited to share their creations during our sneak peeks and hop!  The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 15th of each month.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I was lazy and didn't want to glue the whole banner on a piece of twine, so I just taped little pieces of twine with knots tied in it to the two ends like this.  Then I just pop-dotted each banner piece exactly where I wanted it.
