Countdown to Confetti: Forever Fall

Well, who's ready for FALL!?!?!  I'm about ready to ditch these 100-104 temps here in North Texas.  I mean, come on, the kids are all back in school---it's not summer anymore!  Sweat is not attractive!  Anyway, here's hoping that it cools off soon and that another SNEAK PEEK from REVERSE CONFETTI helps to get ya'll into a fall-ish kind of mood!

Today, the Confetti Crew is spotlighting the new set, FOREVER FALL.

Again, I made two projects and this is another one of those sets that Jen and I just died over once it was finalized and we still swoon just looking at it (ya'll will too...scroll down).  For my card, I followed the Deconstructed Sketch #116.  I decided to go with something a little contemporary and clean.  I actually cut the card front's right side off, to expose the maroon strip that I adhered to the inside of the card.  It was super hard to get a good pic of that action, but I hope ya'll get the idea.  And did ya'll notice the cute "hello"?  That was done using the new LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS.  I melt.  I think the acorns in this new FOREVER FALL set have me forever in love with them, though!

Although it was hard to not use the acorn again on this little gable box project, I think it came out sweetly.  Super simple and fast to put this one together--I just stamped the wood "ribbon/tape" all the way around the "deconstructed" box...the ends of the stamp line up perfectly to make it continuous.  I told ya'll--Jen is smart like that when she designs stuff!  Stamped the sentiment/heart combo, put the box together, added the ribbon and burlap and I was done!  BOOM!  This will be going to Audrie's teacher very soon with some sort of goodie enclosed!

Ok, I'm going to be on my way now.  I've got to get to surfing the net to see all the new REVERSE CONFETTI creations, too!
But before you go, be sure to leave a comment below (and on each designer's blog) for your chance to win a $15 gift certificate from Reverse Confetti.  Commenting closes at noon CST on September 7th, and the winner will be announced that night at 5pm CST.  Good luck!  Here's a look at the full sets I used:

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I think I've mentioned this before, but I think it's been a long time, so I'll say it again.  When working with letter stamps, start your stamping from the center and work your way out to each side.  This will help with spacing and getting your words centered.  Be sure and keep in mind narrower width-ed letters like lower case "L's", that you may need to offset them a bit as they don't take up as much space.  I started this sentiment with the first "l" and didn't exactly put it in the center of my oval, because I knew it was super skinny and the "h and e" would take up more room.  Hoping that makes perfect sense.  Email me if you need to.  wink!
