August TCP Tuesday is a Tall Drink of Water

Well, we had a great time on our vacation.  Other than getting lost a few thousand times, everything went off without a hitch.  We swam in the ocean in Pensacola and even had a couple of stingrays swim right beside us!  Then we headed off to San Antonio and saw the Alamo and went to Fiesta Texas.  I didn't want it to end.  Actually, I'd be satisfied to move into a house by the beach somewhere, just to be able to go back whenever I felt like it.  (Big sigh.)  So we are back to regular life with the girls starting school on the 27th and a couple of busy weeks ahead of us.
Speaking of getting back into the swing of things, it's time for me to share my first version of this month's TCP Tuesday Challenge from The Cat's Pajamas.  This month, Alma's challenge celebrates that underused envelope, the long and tall one.  The legal-sized, number 9.  Make a tall, skinny card that fits in one of these envelopes.

Here's what I came up with...

First I decided on a color scheme for this one, since that was the EASY part!  Then I went for the cute bunny set, Wish, stamped, colored and paper pieced the bunny and moon, then stamped the "wish" sentiment on the kraft tag repeatedly for a cool background (I love doing that!).  I decided it still needed a little extra in the sentiment department, so I grabbed this fun and simple "happy birthday" from the Birthday Bunny set.  The embellishments were super easy to pull together from a couple of the CutUps dies, Stars and Holiday Toppers.

So is this challenge a Tall Drink of Water for ya'll?  We aren't used to creating a long, tall, skinny card.  What will you do with all that extra space?  Check out Alma's Dancing in Pajamas Blog HERE to find out how to play along for your chance at some new TCP goodies!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Reason #87697 to use hot glue for your projects--Bows.  You can tack your bow down just the way you want it with hot glue.  Especially helpful with single sided ribbons like this one that is polkadotted only on one side and wants to turn its ends to show the non-polkadotty side.  Not cool, polkadotty ribbon, not cool.  Hot glue gun=ace in the hole.
