Your'e Swell

Well, I think for Audrie (the 9 year old), today concludes her busiest summer week of her life!  Here's her WEEK IN REVERSE:  Starting from last Saturday, she has been to a skating/sleepover birthday party, shopped all day at the mall, had two friends over Tuesday then a soccer game that night, went skating with more friends, had a sleepover at our house, went to NRH20 (our local water park), had another soccer game, went to the Ranger game last night, and has a swimming birthday party today.  She can't say she's having a boring summer, that's for sure, and we haven't even gone on vacation yet!  So in between being a taxi driver and doing some actual scrapbook samples for Scrapper's Boutique's crop today, I had a chance to make this super simple and sweet REVERSE CONFETTI card.

I have to admit that I started out with a little inspiration from Pinterest, because having to switch gears back to a simple card after doing that scrapbooking made my brain hurt.  I combined a couple of ideas I saw and came up with this card using my well loved HAPPY HARBOR set.  I think it would be so easy to duplicate!  I made the little lifesaver with circle dies and some OLD OLD OLD navy blue cording I had.  I was so proud of myself to use something from my "vintage" stash!  The blue paper is stamped with two of the images from the stamp set and the anchor is stamped and cut out to accent the lifesaver.  Is that what you call those things?  I feel like Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
Ok, that's all for now.  I've got to get some breakfast without opening the pantry door.  We have a little Rattatouille visitor and I'm scared even though he's just a mouse and not a rat.  Be sure and check out the REVERSE CONFETTI BLOG on Fridays for it's version of WEEK IN REVERSE.  It won't make you nearly as tired as mine did.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  When you need to make sure dies don't move when cranking them through your die-cutting machine, just add a little tape to them and the cardstock and carefully remove it after you run it through.
