TCP Tuesday--Admit One

Well, it seems like it's been a while since I shared anything from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS, so I decided I needed to do something about that.  It's Tuesday, so it's a good day for it, since it's officially TCP Tuesday and all.  That's the day of the week that several of the Cat Pack design team shares what they made using Alma's monthly TCP Challenge.

This month's challenge is all about "The More the Merrier". You've heard the saying, "Less is More?" Well, this month, "More is More". More embellishments, more glitter, more stamps.... I think you have the idea.

So I decided to layer this one up and embellish away.  (Shhhh, don't tell Alma, but this wasn't really a challenge for me...it's my favorite style!) I picked up my Admit One stamp set and my Big Ticket CutUps die first and made an Independence Day themed ticket.  Oh and then I had to make two more just for the fun of it.  To embellish-more-is-more-embellish, I used the Pennant and Stars CutUps sets to add even more layer-y goodness.  The sentiment is from the new Aim High set and was a "reject" from a previous card because of the color, but found a perfect Star-Spangled home for itself here on this one.

Ok, that's all for me today.  I've got a plumber coming over to fix my washer hookup so it doesn't leak all over my garage.  Famous last words of a recent plumber visit to Jen's house while training another plumber--"Best advice I can give you:  Don't chew your fingernails."  Classic.

Be sure and check out ALMA's Dancing in Pajamas blog HERE for all the details on how to play along, possibly become the next SWANKY STAMPER, and get free TCP goodies!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Balance is the key to a heavily embellished card.  It's the difference between doing it right and over-doing it even when that's the look you're trying to achieve.  Notice how the "heavy" doses of embellishment are opposite each other and keep the card with a good focus on the center.  (Square cards help with this look, too.)

Stamps:  Admit One, Aim High (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper:  White, Kraft, Pure Poppy, Enchanted Evening (PTI), Dots and Stripes (Echo Park)
Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko), Night of Navy, Real Red (SU!)
Accessories:  Big Ticket, Stars, Holiday Toppers and Pennant CutUps Dies (The Cat's Pajamas), Scallop Square Nestabilities, Sewing Machine/Thread, Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, Silver Brads, Adhesive Rhinestones, Airmail Divine Twine (TCP), Hot Glue, Jody Boosters
Finished Size:  5x5" Square
