Reverse Confetti Rainbow

Well, I guess I took a little "break-y-poo" from my blog this week.  To be honest, we've had such a busy week here, and it's been great, but I haven't had time to even create or stamp a single thing!  That makes me crabby.  Hopefully next week will be a little different.  I won't be driving to Dallas every day to pick Lindsie up from soccer camp at SMU (it's a beautiful campus), but I will be taking Audrie to VBS for 3 days next week.  At least it's close by.  So when Jen nudged on me yesterday to get back in my craft room, I decided to do just that, and made a quick and super simple card using my REVERSE CONFETTI stamps.  This design is actually something that's been roaming around in my head for a while now!

I used the DREAM IN COLOR stamp set (due back in stock today) to make a sentiment banner with a string of buttons going across the top of it.  I just love "rainbow" cards and projects that are done in different colors other than the usual ROY G. BIV scheme, so I pulled together a bright and cheery combination of colors.  And, do ya'll see the sparkle?  It's super glittery, too!

By the way, if you haven't entered a card or project yet in the Reverse Confetti Sketch For You to Try, today is the last day!  Check out the "Week in Reverse" post and more details about SFYTT on the Reverse Confetti blog HERE.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I really wanted to sew white around the edges of the whole kraft piece and sew over that "end of the rainbow".  However, because I had to do the glitter effect first, I was afraid of sewing over it and getting my needle all gunked up.  Luckily I just bought a brand new white pen, so I was able to do a little "faux" stitching as an accent instead.  I actually like it better than what I had pictured in my head with the real sewing.  You NEED a Uniball Signo Broad white pen.  Just sayin...
