June TCP Tuesday--Hello, Fish

Well, I'm not a fisherman.  I've only been fishing a couple of times and even then, both times it was at a stock pond.  Didn't catch anything.  Probably because my dad made me use real worms, battered in blood meal.  Even the fish thought that was gross, apparently.  Even if I did catch a fish, I wouldn't want to touch it.  Eww.  However, it looks like the TCP penguins had a little more luck than me and the worm is happy he didn't get eaten as bait.
So the beginning of June begins a brand new TCP Tuesday Challenge from The Cat's Pajamas.  This month's challenge is "The More the Merrier"--Go heavy on the embellishments.

I'm not sure if I'd call this card "over-embellished" or not.  First I stamped the "Reel Experts", colored them with my Copics and added ground with my Prismacolor Pencils.  Then I added the little clouds with one of the thought bubbles from the Talk to Me CutUps die set and added buttons/twine.  The black tab underneath is from the Circus Panels CutUps and I love how it pulls everything together.  Ribbon, twine, silver rhinestones, and doodling around the main panel keep my fisher-penguin card just busy-looking enough, but not like an embellishment explosion.  Luckily, I'm better at fishing for crafty pretties than actual fish.

This is no fish tale...HERE'S how to play along in the TCP Tuesday Challenge.  Maybe you'll win the coveted title of SWANKY STAMPER and some goodies from The Cat's Pajamas, Hook, Line, and Sinker!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Look at your existing dies and try to think of ways to use just a part of them as an accent.  Tuck it under a main panel like I did here with the black Circus Panel CutUps.  The little extra bit of color (or non-color since it's black in this case), makes for a more balanced looking card.

Stamps:  Reel Experts (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper:  Pure Poppy, White, Black, Aqua Mist (PTI), Dots and Stripes (Echo Park)
Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko), Real Red (SU!)
Accessories:  Talk to Me and Circus Panel CutUps Dies (The Cat's Pajamas), Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Chevron Embossing Folder (Lifestyle), Circle Punches, Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, OMS, Black Fine-tip Pen, Buttons, Licorice Divine Twine (TCP), Ribbon, Silver Flatbacks, Hot Glue, Jody Boosters
Finished Size:  A2
