April Verve Diva Inspiration Hop

Well, Eric and I got home yesterday from our little secret anniversary excursion and right away it was back to reality!  It was so sweet to get "kidnapped".  We went to downtown Fort Worth and stayed at The Worthington, the same hotel we stayed in the night we got married and had a night out on the town.  Too bad we didn't get to fly off to Vegas the next day like we did after staying there the last time!  Oh well, getting to stamp when we got home wasn't exactly drudgery!  I was able to pull a card together for our April Verve Diva Inspiration Hop--one of my favorite things I get to stamp for!  Not only is it time for our April hop, but it's also a time for us to say goodbye to Jen del Muro as a Verve Diva.  As most of ya'll know, she's starting her own stamp company and I am so blessed to get to help "sail her ship".  So this card is dedicated to her as we are both learning the ins and outs of running a stamp company (Exciting!  In fact I'm at her house today, playing and enjoying life.).

Since this is a HOP, you should have come here from Miss Sony's blog, but if you've missed the whole shindig, go start at the beginning on Julee's blog...you'll be glad you did!

For my card, I used the new Viva la Verve sketch (April, Week 2) that was just issued today over in our forum on Splitcoast.  It truly is a clean and simple sketch, but of course, I had to go and fuss it up!

I used a stamp set from Verve that I had yet to ink up--Learning to Sail.  There are several Verve Dies included on my card as well--Banner Bundle, Starry Die (A MUST HAVE), and the star border from the Scallop Trim Trio set.

As always, there's a PRIZE up for grabs! So be sure to leave a little shout out in the comment section of each blog as you hop about to be entered in a drawing for a $30 gift certificate to Verve Stamps! Check out all the details and prize info over at the Verve Blog.

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I know I've mentioned this before, but it's worth bringing up again.  When opening your Copics (or any marker for that matter), don't do it right over the project you're working on.  Sometimes the force of popping that cap makes the ink from the marker splatter.  Don't ask me how I know this.  I don't want to talk about it.

Stamps:  Learning to Sail (Verve)
Paper:  White, Black, Pure Poppy, Enchanted Evening (PTI), The Bright Side (MME)
Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories:  Banner Bundle, Starry Die and Scallop Trim Trio Dies (A Cut Above Dies by Verve), Labels 18 Nestabilities, Large Dot Embossing Folder, Washi Tape, Toothpicks, Copic Markers, Adhesive Silver Pearls, Postage Twine (TCP), Jody Boosters
Finished Size:  A2
