It's Sneak Peek Day from Your Next Stamp!
OMG, I have 2 posts today (and one more to go this evening for YNS!) If you're looking for my SNEAKY PEEK for The Cat's Pajamas, click HERE and then come back!!!
Well, we had a great Spring Break! The girls went back to school yesterday. Eric had to work in Dallas, so I had to get up super early and take them to school. It's amazing how much more I can get done in the day when I get up early! I went grocery shopping (to 3 stores no less), went to Sephora for makeup, and made dinner. The best part was that I made 2 cards in the afternoon and I loved every minute of it. I should wake up early more often. Maybe.
Today, is SNEAK PEEK DAY from Your Next Stamp! All the girls on the team are showing off their creations and tying them in with our March Tasty Tuesday Challenge (above).
I more or less (mostly less) went off some of the colors when making this card, but was also thinking about the refreshing time I had with the girls on break from school and how refreshing those drinks look! ALSO, ya'll KNOW I can't resist teacher-y stuff, so I HAD to make my card using the new A+ Teacher Set, which made the challenge tie-in a little tricky. I have a piece of fruit on my card. That's gotta count for something.
I used my new favorite technique and went all chalkboard/subway art for my main image, then popped up the cute apple also from the A+ Teacher set. The yellow banner under it is from last month's Fishtail Banner Set. AND, do ya'll see those cute little "ABC" letters down there? They are from the new Letter Board Die...OMG, I LOVE this one!!
Ok, that's about all from me. BUT, guess what? Tonight is the YNS March Release BLOG HOP and I've got my other card I made to show ya'll--it's totally CUTE!! So I'll see ya'll a little later! Oh and don't forget YOU can play along in the Tasty Tuesday Challenge for a $10 Gift Certificate to the YNS Store...just link up on the YNS BLOG!
SUSIE Q-TIP: Use a white Prismacolor pencil or some other white pencil to draw in some detailing when using the chalkboard/subway art technique. The border done with a ruler really makes all the difference.
