Better With You

Well, yesterday was a 2 cups of coffee kind of day.  I must have spoke too soon about the chaos in Lilesland taking a rest.  Our oldest daughter, Shelbie was rear-ended on the freeway yesterday (she's totally fine), I had to deal with fun stopped up toilet issues all day and then we started hearing weird sounds coming from the chimney in the living room.  I'm pretty sure a squirrel or raccoon is stuck up in there.  To start a fire, or not to start a fire?  That is the question.  Anyway, coffee helped.  It always does.

I had a few scraps left on my desk from making the cute card for Your Next Stamp that I shared in my last post.  SO, what's a jittery, coffeed-up girl to do as she hears scratching and thrashing going on in her chimney?  Why make a cute coffee card, of course!  I pulled out my Better With You coffee set from Verve and a few of my favorite Verve dies--the tiny hearts on the cups are the From the Heart Dies, the sentiment panel is the Vintage Oval, and then there's my number one friend, the Ribbon Banner Die (it's the perfect size).  OH and did ya'll know that Verve is now carrying Seam Binding Ribbon?  OMG, it's luxurious!  I used the black here from the Signature Collection for my card and tied a double bow.  PURRRRRTYYYY!!!!

Ok, ya'll may as well stop back by in the next few days again to get another good laugh--who knows what will happen next around here!  Never a dull moment!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  I don't know how other people make double bows, but I just tie the first one and then cut another piece of ribbon and tie the next bow right around the center of the first one.  It's a bit tricky, but the seam binding ribbon loves to play along.

  2. Wow sorry for all your challenges you are having on the home front. Glad your daughter is ok. I'd be afraid if I started the fire that the critter would come in the house vs. out the chimney.. just a thought.
Love your card, I always do. You make card making a fun project and I look forward to your hints and cards.
