Sneaky Peeks Start With TCP Tuesday #237

Well, not only am I SUPER EXCITED to announce that there is a NEW Release coming from The Cat's Pajamas, but also that it's Tuesday and time for another FUN TCP Tuesday Challenge!  This time, it's Julie's turn to host the challenge and she's challenging us to use a WOOD ELEMENT on our card or project.  More about that in a minute, but first a newsflash about this NEW RELEASE:

The Cat’s Pajamas is now 10 years old! Alma started making rubber stamps at her dining room table, hand cutting rubber and cushion and attaching them to wood blocks to sell to the local stamp stores where she was teaching.
And so much has happened to stamping in 10 years. But our love of stamping is still going strong. So this release, we are excited to celebrate the way we started. With rubber stamps. Not just any rubber stamps. Cling Stamps for easy storage and positioning. Perfect for those who love rubber, but also love the convenience and ease of clear. Limited Edition because these stamps are extra special, lovingly assembled at Alma’s dining room table. Just like we did 10 years ago. So snap them up, because only a small number will be made. Her table is only so big.

Now onto my card...Like I said before, the challenge was to use any WOOD ELEMENT, so I chose to use a little bit of wood veneer for the backdrop behind my penguin from the new set, Snow Kisses along with some wood buttons for my embellishment layers.  I just love that little sentiment, too!

I used the newest Mojo Monday sketch for this because I love the circle coming out from the side of the card--it's so unusual!

Of course I had to use one of my favorite CutUps dies with this card--the Snowflake, and then I cut a smaller one from the Snowflake Lace Die as well for the snowflake that the penguin is holding.  But the die I'm MOSTLY excited for are the little STARS!  I had begged Alma to make some star dies a while back, and they are finally HERE

What's cool about them is that there are different sizes of solid stars and then some cut out stars that are the same size!  Hard to explain...maybe I'll have to show them with a few more pics a little later!  Anyway, trust me, they are COOL!!

Ok, well here's a little more info about the release and the challenge:

SUSIE Q-TIP:  You can find wood veneer paper in the TCP store HERE.  It is a lighter color, but super easy to stain with ink, color with markers or just leave plain.  It even die cuts things like BUTTAH!  I highly suggest trying it out for a little something different.
