Hoot Hoot Hurray, I'm Late to the Party!

Well, I'm a little late to the SFYTT party that I was supposed to share on Saturday.  I usually post 3 times for Jen's Sketch for You To Try each month, and the third Saturdays of the months are my usual weekend.  I didn't realize what day it was until I looked at the calendar Sunday night.  Oopsie.  Time is absolutely FLYING by!  As Audrie would say, "She pooped my party".  Sorry ya'll--If you missed me, I didn't mean to poop your party!

Market Street Stamps
As you'll recall, Market Street Stamps is our sponsor this month.  I decided to play with a new SU! Owl Builder punch I got from a sweet friend online, and combined him with the awesome Doily stamp from Market Street as his little backdrop.  The sentiment is from a retired MFT set with little owls in it.
Here's a look at the sketch and I know I'm stretching it a little bit, but I just got to going with this card and forgot to keep referring to the sketch like I usually do.  I think I'm in love with that little owl--I foresee him popping in quite often!  It's his fault, he distracted me.  We'll just call it "Artistic License", shall we?

Speaking of parties--I'm in the middle of crazy planning and preparing a "Night Owl" sleepover birthday party for Audrie for this Saturday (one of the reasons for making this particular card and also one of the reasons I forgot about needing it to post on Saturday).  I also made this card as a trial run to see how tedious it would be to have 7 nine year olds put these little owls together.  I have to say, Audrie wasn't strong enough to punch it!  Looks like I've got some more prep work ahead of me for one of their activities for the party!  I'll try and post pictures from the festivities and what I made next week ('cause it ain't finished yet!).

In hopes that ya'll want to see more inspiration with this sketch, here's some links to my SFYTT sisters' posts using this sketch:

SUSIE Q-TIP:  The aqua patterned strip and banner tops are made with washi tape.  Don't forget to use your stash of that stuff.  I love using it for die cutting, just for a little something different.
