Helpy Helperton

Well, I think it's high time I get my act together. I put my blog on the back burner at first so that I could get the girls back in school and get back to a normal routine. Well, I forgot to add posting to my blog into that "new" routine, so it's been hard to get back into the groove of it. By the time the evening stuff is done after homework, soccer, dinner and bedtime for the girls, I'm TIRED and just want to veg! So here's hoping I buckle down and get this show on the road!

But, just because I haven't blogged, doesn't mean I haven't been crafting. See? I've been making stuff, but just haven't been sharing. That's just not nice!  I'll have more to share on the things I've been making in the next few days.  Tomorrow is my turn for the TCP Tuesday Challenge ( a new stamp challenge from me!), and then I'll also share some other stuff I've been up to the rest of the week!

Today, I've got a Verve creation I made about a week ago using the Viva La Verve challenge from September Week 2 that ya'll can find HERE in our Splitcoast forum.  I am suddenly in the mood to make Christmas cards.  In fact I just picked up the new "All is Bright" paper kit from My Mind's Eye and can't wait to break it out!  So for my Verve card, I used the Santa's Helper stamp set with the ridiculously cute reindeer and some papers from an older Echo Park 6x6 paper pad that has a really traditional look.  I think I need a little helper too.  I also added the Flourish Trim die in black to set that little reindeer off.  Nothing fancy or out of the box on this one, as I think the sketch spoke for itself.

Ok, I've gotta get going--Lindsie broke her toe yesterday in a soccer game and I'm taking lunch up to her at school today, making sure she and her crutches are getting along and will slip her some Tylenol for pain!  The ER is having her see an orthopedic doctor next week to see if there's any other damage, so wish us luck!  Whatever happened to just taping up broken toes?!?!  Thanks for ya'll's patience during my "pause for the cause" and I'll be back tomorrow!

SUSIE Q-TIP:  Don't forget that coloring with Copics or even Prismacolor Pencils is fun to do when you stamp your image on Kraft paper like I did here and gives a totally different look to your project.
