Another Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop For You!

Well, we are still ramping up for school to start here in Lilesland, but I took a little time out yesterday to hang out with my bestie, Jen, and FINALLY give her the birthday present I made for her right after we got back from vacation, which just so "happens" to also double as today's project for my Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop from Verve Stamps! (Hey, I gotta keep those crafty obligations in mind when I craft and kill as many birds with one stone as possible! Jen understands.)

In case you weren't aware of this AMAZING AND HUGE RELEASE from VERVE, here's a few details that are definitely "share-worthy":
Welcome to our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops! As many of you know, Verve is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month and the party is just getting started! Come join us over the next 9 days as we showcase the 23 new stamps and dies releasing from Verve! We'll be counting down the minutes and revealing all the new sets in our forum from 9-11pm Eastern on Friday, August 24, so make plans now to join us for our release party!

In the meantime, we've got a fun filled hop for you today! So let your fingers do the clicking and peek into the creative minds of Verve's talented Divas and Guest Divas as they give you a little tour of what's to come! Inspiration abounds, and so do the PRIZES!

That's right! We've picked a mystery blog from today's hop and hidden a prize! So be sure to give a little shout out in the comment section as you hop around to each blog on the list. We’ll draw a random winner from all of the comments on the mystery blog to win today's featured sets and dies. Check out the Verve Blog for all the prize details and deadlines.

Want even more chances to win? Head on over to the Verve SCS forum and play along in our Anni-VERVE-sary release challenges. Or hop on over to the Verve Blog to find out about our Verve Card Carnival, for a chance to win the entire new release (a $300+ value)!

Since Jen's birthday fell on the SAME day that we got back from vacation (August 13th), I knew I wanted to get her something fun while I was away. She's also in the process of getting ready to move, so it couldn't be anything that would be too "in the way". So I decided to go with a collection of washi tapes that I gathered from one of my detours to Archiver's in Tennessee.

I couldn't just give her the tapes in a plastic bag, so I came up with the idea to put them in a clear glass covered butter dish and dress it up with some of my new Verve goodies as my new Design Team happy mail package had come while we were gone. Off to Goodwill I went, but they didn't have anything like that. They DID have this super cool, vintage straw holder, though, so I picked it up for about four bucks! I knew I wanted to make a band to go around the middle of the jar, and I knew the new Borderline set from Verve would be just the ticket.

I used the new Mini Classy Labels die (so small and cute!) to make the main label and also used it on the cute tags for the top. The Borderlines set had the outline of the label, the "band" lines that go around the sides and the birthday wishes stamp included, so it was perfect! Then I HAD to include a strip of that Pennant Trim die as well.

Did anyone notice it matches the Happy Birthday card I made HERE for my spotlight hop from the other day? I hope Jen doesn't. I forgot to give her the card.

Ok, so here's the MASTER HOP LIST for the Verve Spotlight Hop, just in case ya'll want to go back and check out something again, since I'm the last one on the hop. I sure hope ya'll enjoyed it!

SUSIE Q-TIP: As a lot of ya'll know, I like yellow. But, believe it or not, I didn't have just the right shade for my project that I wanted for that Pennant Trim. So I just cut it out of white and sponged some Mustard Distress Ink on it to the shade I was happy with. I like yellow.

Stamps: Borderline (Verve)
Paper: Black, Rasberry Fizz, White (PTI), The Sweetest Thing (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko), Pink Passion (SU!), Mustard Distress Ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Mini Classy Labels and Pennant Trim Dies (Verve), White Gel Pen, Frosted Flatbacks, Striped Ribbon (TCP), Tiny Pink Safety Pin, Divine Twine (TCP), Scor-Tape, Glue Dots
