TCPTUES 216--White on White
Well, just by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin am I getting this TCP Tuesday #216 post in before the next one comes around tomorrow. That's right, in case ya'll have forgotten or are new to the challenges from The Cat's Pajamas, there's one every week that is posted on Tuesday and hosted by one of our very own Cat Pack members. This one is hosted by Jen. She always has a cool and interesting Inspiration Challenge.
Here's a look at the pictures she has chosen this week to inspire us in our projects:
And here's a closer look at my card:
White on white is not my usual "go-to" combination of colors (or lack thereof), but I "felt" like I couldn't go wrong with snowflakes since they are white anyway and just added a little Kraft for contrast. I used 4 different CutUps dies--Heart Trio, Snowflake, Big Scallop and Snowflake Lace Paper CutUps--along with one of the sentiments from the Freezin' Season set.
Ok, that's about all from me today--We have a busy week ahead with lots of 4th of July plans and sleepovers for the girls, so I need to put my feet up and relax while I can! Maybe make some plans as to what to create while they are off with friends and family...(Am I looking forward to the little break-y-poo? Yes, muchly.) Be sure and check out Julie's blog tomorrow for a look at the next TCP Tuesday Challenge--it's FUN!!
SUSIE Q-TIP: For me, I think texture is really important when going for a monotone, clean and simple look. An embossed backdrop for these snowflakes (which happened to be a scrap) added with a little felt for the main focus helps it from feeling too flat and drab. Pretend to be "Dr. Feel" while making your next CAS card and add a little texture.
